8 Two-Cycle Catalog 8. Acadia Gas Engines Limited Manufacturers of Two and Four Cycle Marine Engines operated on Gasoline or Kerosene. [Plus ephemera w/ letterhead]
Halifax, NS Royal Print & Litho. Saddle Stapled Card Covers Good 4to.
10 x 6.5 inches. 36 pages plus three loosely inserted leaves described below. A superb very early catalog: great cover graphics and quality photo production inside. The catalog caries no printed date. It's interesting to compare the cover with that held by the Nova Scotia Museum of Industry [different colours]. The three staples are rusted and covers detached in one piece, with unobtrusive holes at spine of cover along the connection point of upper and lower staple (seen in photos below). No loose pages. Interior is clean and unmarked save for evidence of silverfish nibbling inside cover along top margin: this only affects the inner paper backing of the card covers, not the card {there are no holes}. This is a splendid example of a rare catalogue. Also included are the following three items: Typed letter signed by J.W. Rafuse for the Sales Department on Acadia Gas Engines letterhead dated 2 March, 1923. Typed letter signed by D.M Eisenhaur as Manager on Lunenburg Foundry Co. letterhead dated 1 March 1923. Atlantic Marine Engines price list of Lunenburg Foundry.
