Short essays and anecdotes, in this number particularly focused on the Mountain Lake community of Florida including a page on the Seminoles, a list of property owners at Mt. Lake and their respective hobbies, e.g. "golf, cards, cigars and croquet." Illustrated with 21 photos 1.8" square of the region (incl. Boca Raton), numerous local personalities, two horses and a Seminole girl. As well, a 3-page article on dynamite "by a Mountain Laker" and a hitherto unknown and unpublished autograph letter of I. Kant to A.G. Kastner in English translation. In 1917 at Pansy Patch, his estate in Paradise Nova Scotia, Dr. Morse by his own admission had "began a crude golf course." The Mountain Lake community, founded 1915, had by 1916 a course designed by Seth Raynor.
