127 pages. A pleasing survival, with slight chipping. Consider front cover as detached as it is barely holding. The rest is tightly bound. Burnett's Cocoaine hair product advert at front (not as fun as it sounds: main ingredient cocoanut oil) and beneath that the seemingly innocuous ad for Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup which in fact contained morphine: "Mrs. Winslow's Soothing Syrup was an indispensable aid to mothers and child-care workers. Containing one grain (65 mg) of morphine per fluid ounce, it effectively quieted restless infants and small children. It probably also helped mothers relax after a hard day's work." [Addiction Research Unit, Department of Psychology/University at Buffalo]. B&O Railway ad at rear. Calumet series "Issued Monthly" [on front] / "issued quarterly" [on rear]. 25 cent price. No former owner's markings.
