Top edge gilded, others untrimmed and many unopened. Spines lightly faded, head and foot lightly rubbed. Brief tidy early ownership inscription to front free endpaper of volume I (and offsetting to endpapers of this volume); else unmarked. Bindings sound. Two Champlain Society items are laid in: the Second Annual Report [May, 1907], and a 20 January 1915 note regarding the numbering of Volume III of Lescarbot.
